WordPress is no doubt an excellent blogging platform, but sometimes you want to move to Blogger for many reasons but you don't thinking that you would lose traffic, backlinks, pagerank and other things. This post shows you the whole procedure of successful migration from WordPress to Blogger without losing anything.
First things first, you have to save your posts, pages and comments from WordPress to Blogger.

To move the posts, pages and comments, here are the steps:- Go to your WordPress dashboard and then go to Tools >> Export.
- Select the "All content" option. Or if you want to export just the posts or pages, select accordingly.
- Click on "Download Export File".
Converting WordPress Export File to Blogger Format
To convert your WordPress export file into blogger format, use the WordPress to Blogger conversion utility app. Upload yout exported file to this app and it will decode and encode it to Blogger format for you. Download the converted file.Importing Content To Blogger
To import your converted file to WordPress, you can follow these steps:- Go to your Dashboard and then go to Settings << Other.
- Under the "Blog Tools" head, click on "Import Blog".
- In the following screen, select your file and enter the captcha.
- If you want your posts to be published automatically, check the box.
- Click on "Import Blog".
Pointing a custom Domain to Blogger Blog
If you want to keep your old domain name that you used for your WordPress blog,
- Go to the control panel of your domain name provider.
- In the DNS Management, go to DNS Records.
- Go to CNAME records and add two new records as following.

- In the same DNS Management section, go to A records.
- Add four new A records with value "yourdomain.xyz" where yourdomain is the domain you are linking and .xyz is the extension of your domain. In the IP addresses section, enter these,

Now you have to tell blogger that you have updated the records. For that,
- Go to your blogger dashboard.
- Go to Settings >> Basic. In the Publishing tab, go to Advanced settings.
- Enter your full domain and click on save.

Telling Webmaster Tools About New Domain
When you change your domain, you should tell webmaster tools about your new domain. For that,- Login to your Google Webmaster Tools.
- Go to your website listing.
- Go to Configuration >> Change of Address.
- Follow the steps.
Redirecting Traffic to New Permalinks
Now the next thing you need to do is to redirect your traffic to blogger permalinks. For that,- Go to your blogger dashboard.
- Go to Settings >> Search Preferences.
- Under "Errors and Redirection", go to "Custom Redirects".
- Add as many redirects as you want.
Submitting Sitemap
The last thing you might want to do is to submit your sitemap of your new Blogger blog. In WordPress there were many plugins which created an xml sitemap for you, but in blogger there aren't any.Submitting sitemap is simple. Just submit the atom feed URL in any webmaster tools. - Go to Google Webmaster Tools.
- Go to your site listing.
- Go to Optimization >> Sitemaps.
