Top 10 Most Addictive Android Games

One reason for which many people buy android devices is the great variety of games available on the google play store. Many of these games are very addictive and can entertain you when you need some fun at the most. I have picked these ten most addictive games I found. All of these games are hand picked and I also am an addict of these.

1. Temple Run

Temple Run is the most addictive game I have ever played on my android device. This game is about some explorers who get trapped in a temple while stealing an old idol. When they steal this idol, they had to face the mysterious powers of the temple and run for their lives. This game has many add ons, power ups and in game purchases which keep your interest alive in the game.

2. Fruit Ninja

Fruit Ninja by Half Brick is another addictive android game I love. The premium version of this game has both single player and multi player modes. The games comes in many in-game playing styles. In the game, you are a student of sensei, who is a ninja. You have a task to cut every fruit which is displayed on your device's screen with a slice. The more fruit you cut, the more score you get. There are also bombs and power ups which comes with these fruits to disturb or enhance your game respectively.

3. Major Mayhem

Major Mayhem is a action, adventure, heroic fantasy game which really  feels great to play. This game revolves around a major who fights with enemies through the forests, cities and deserts for his girlfriend. The president of the country, at the climax comes up as the culprit and attacks the major with his missiles. But at the end, major manages to finish him up to get his girl back. Once you start playing this game, you won't rest until you finish it. There are many weapons, apparel and power ups to buy with the money you earn. This is one game I would happily recommend you to play.

Jetpack Joyride is another very addictive game by Half Brick. This game is about a man Barry who enters a lab with his jetpack and runs through it to collect coins, spin tokens (for power ups) and vehicles. He has to save himself through the way from missiles and electric zappers. The score is decided with the meters he travels and the coins he collects. There is a store full of goodies to buy with these collected coins which can help Barry on his way, help even to give him a better look. The addiction in this game lies within the missions you get to complete. They are infinite (as far as I've played) and you always seek to complete them in free time.

Paper Toss is a very light and fun game to play and is one of the most popular mobile games on almost every platform. In this game, you have a ball of scrambled paper and you have to toss it in a bin kept at the other end of the room. The room may contain a source of wind which will deflect your paper ball from the path, so you have to throw according to the wind i.e. against the flow of the wind so that when the ball gets deflected, it gets on the right path. In this game, you are a monkey who jumps on balloons which are falling on the ground from the sky. You have to jump from one balloon to another without falling. The more balloons you jump on, the more score you get. In the midway sky, you will also get a bird on which, if you jump, you will get bonus points. As you reach high in the sky, the number of balloons gets lesser and the chance of falling gets higher. This game is ideal when you have to compete with one of your friends.

Ant Smasher is my favourite free time game. It is so fun to play, you feel like you are smashing ants in real life. In this game, you have to smash the ants on the screen with your finger. The more ants you smash, the more score you get. Some ants are smaller than others and some are very big. Your smash and score both are proportionate to the size of the ants. You will also get house flies to smash between the game, but be wary, don't try to smash any honey bee as it may stink your finger. The best thing about this game is its sound effects. The sound which comes out when you smash an ant gives you the feel of smashing an ant for real.

Once this game became the most downloaded games on any mobile platform. Behind Angry Birds, lies the success story of Rovio, its developer and many other small businesses which develop its merchandise. This game is so famous that you will see people wearing its printed tees on the street. Some evil pigs steal the eggs of some birds and the game is about the revenge the birds take from the pigs. You have to fire the birds on pigs' hideout to destroy both pigs and the hideout.There are many birds with their own special capability. Angry Birds in many versions both paid and free.

9. Highway Rider

Highway is a racing genre game by Battery Acid Games. There are many games which fall in this category and are similar to it but this is different. You are a biker who has to drive his way in a city full of traffic. The more "close calls" i.e. chances of an accident you get, the more you score and bottle caps are. You can change the character which is riding the bike with these bottle caps. You can tilt and turn the bike with the accelerometer of your device. The best part of this game comes up when you meet with a traffic accident. I cannot describe what happens here, you have to play the game for it.

10. Cut the Rope

This is a huge game with 12 boxes filled with over 300 levels. Cut the rope depends on physics and your brain. In this game, you have to feed a candy to om nom (a fictional character) which may be hanging somewhere in the level but cutting the rope on which it is hanging. As you play through the levels, it gets tougher to feed the candy to Om Nom. You have to collect gold starts in between the game and feed the candies to unlock new game play levels. Cut the rope has won many grat awards for games including the Apple Design Award and the BAFTA Award.
